The Elite SEALS of the US Navy

Since the US has been at war for nearly fourteen straight years, it has found the service of the elite forces to be enormously important.  The sort of war it has fought has been a combination of elite forces on the ground and heavy bomb load forces in the sky and from beneath the ocean with submarine launched cruised missiles.  The actions on the ground were to use the indigenous forces to fight the war, rather than use great numbers of American and allied forces.  Elite forces were used in action, as well as in teaching other forces.

In the US and likely across the globe the SEALs are featured in all manner of media.  Books, comics, games, movies, and more.  For my money the very best stories of fiction are by Chuck Dixon.  His works are highly considered, well reviewed, and demand for the works in ebook led to print in almost no time at all.

Chuck is a friend of mine, but that has no part in this recommendation.

SEAL TEAM SIX by Chuck Dixon

KILLING BIN LADEN by Peter Panzeri, Jr.

OSPREY's RAID series considers single events that were considered shocking, exciting, new, different, or important.  The Killing Bin Laden edition is a gem, and worth every penny of your entertainment dollar, but whereas most books on the SEALS are fiction, at least in some fashion, this work is an effort to get to the core of the truth.

I have not read, seen, or played any of the following, these are for your efforts and search.

SEAL TEAM SIX

CODE WORD: GERONIMO

MEDAL OF HONOR: WARFIGHTER

NAVY SEALS: Weapons of Mass Destruction

SEAL TEAM SIX: THE RAID ON OSAMA BIN LADEN
