Ursula K. Le Guin wrote across borders of genre. She also was a professor, an anarchist, and possessed a mind that could transcend the limitations of any format, market, and concept. There isn't anyone alive today who writes like she did, and this loss is one that will be felt for a long, long time.

As a person who loved history and military history specifically, I began to buy paperback books from the Jove War series. At first it was for the subject, but eventually I came to realize, I was buying them due to the magnificent covers. Many of the books in the series were good, but, there were a few unworthy of the magnificent covers on the outside.
The artist James Dietz was amazing in his ability to show accurate machinery and uniforms of war, but also pure human courage and face of battle. I went to the Oshkosh fly-in to see the James Dietz collection, and was blew away, and met the artist.
I suggest if you like military art that you seek out JamesDietz.Com
