I've been privileged to work with Scott "Doc" Vaughn on more than a couple projects. He is an artist who is moved by pretty women (me too), heroes and villains in epic works, and the works of the past and culture of America's Golden Era, the 1950s. He is really talented in the realm of art, and I am moved by his openness to consider new projects. WARBIRDS follows the actions of a few brave men and women who seek to save the earth, after Adolf Hitler's 3rd Reich has recovered from near defeat, by joining forces with the aliens of Mars and their advanced technology. It isn't a fair fight, but, when has the defense of honor, democracy, and hope ever been fought without such odds?
I'm promoting it not just because I like it, but in the present era of fear and worry, it is fun, and hopeful. I was also blessed by Scott to be invited to work on a book that is based upon the fight found in Warbirds. I wrote two short prose pieces to develop further areas of the world considered in Warbirds, and had a great time doing so. The book has recently been brought back into print. Yes I have copies to sell.
