Nope Not Dead Yet

FINDING SOCIAL MEDIA A PAIN

I have had a very painful series of days, with numerous back spasms and neck spasms. But I had a very successful convention, Quantum-Con.org compared to my previous days at comics conventions and other sorts of shows. It is odd, because I made more money than ever, and attendance was light. I think offering many media guests, might not equate the focus of a comics or toy collector's aim. But beyond that, a wide variety of guests and different focus offers a greater chance to sell the comics, poetry and prose I write. That is, most of my comic sales are incidental, ignoring my poetry, or prose works at conventions for comics or anything but pure books or open spaces of multi medium conventions.

But while sales were in fact great, and I have a fine doctor to depend on, I am constantly dealing with spammers on social media, and because I write poetry, I am assumed to be on one side of the political world that I am not. Nor the other. I am non partisan in politics. I am not single, I am fully married and happy to be so. The offerings of the flesh are not anything I want. My heart has been broken in life, and to lose the one person who loves me enough to allow me to pursue my passions rather than things I really stink at doing, would destroy me. I'm resorting to blocking nearly naked people with no posts and links in their profile to porn. I am resorting to blocking people who think I am stupid enough to believe that 12 identical profiles are different humans, and so I should discuss my life and contact information with them. I might revert to accepting friend requests only from people who can tell me why they want to know me, or those I know in real life.

I am not writing this to complain, perhaps to explain. (An unintentional rhyme?)

For those who are reading this and are familiar with my work, I sold two of my last four copies of A Life of Ravens, and have but one left that I will sell. The image below shows all the books I sold, and I am probably forgetting some. The purpose is to show, that my mind is about history, legend, tragic human events, myth, and more. My email is shown below, and I sell books through the mail, except for those that are out of print.
